Royal Farms Employee Celebrates 65 Years of Service

BALTIMORE, June 08, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Royal Farms employee Jennie Enos began her career with Royal Farms on June 9, 1958.  Her first job right out of high school was with the Royal Dunloggin Dairy where her parents, Wade and Ruth, also worked.

In 1968, Royal Dunloggin merged with Cloverland Dairy. Ms. Enos’s responsibilities were route accounting and bookkeeping for the milkmen. One of her favorite job titles she’s held was a Switchboard Operator handling inbound calls. She worked her way up to accounting supervisor where she led a team of eight employees. In the 1970’s, she was transferred to Royal Farms and has been a vital team member since then. Ms. Jennie has been present for each transformation of the business—from Dairy to our White Jug stores, to the Royal Farms convenience stores we all know and love today.

In 1999, she became the Leader of Fuel Accounting and has shown no signs of retiring for the last 23 years. She currently lives in Maryland and is very active with her local church, Living Hope Baptist Church. She is a huge advocate for Animal Rescue and even has pet goats she loves dearly. We congratulate her on her 65 years of service to Royal Farms and thank her for her unwavering dedication.

“Jennie has been someone that I depend on greatly. 23 years ago, she and I started the Royal Farms fuel department from the ground up. We had no suppliers, no transportation and no paperwork procedures. In fuel accounting, you must be extremely detail oriented, enjoy working with numbers and have a sense of urgency to get things done. We deliver millions of gallons of fuel each week, every day of the year, so the supplier invoices and delivery bill of ladings never stop. Jennie is one of, if not the best, fuel accounting professionals I have worked with in my 35 years in the fuel business.” –Rob Rinehart, Director of Fuel Services (23 years of service).

“The most dependable and dedicated employee Royal Farms has ever had.” –Frank Schilling, Director of Marketing and Merchandising (34 years of service).

“Ms. Jennie has been an integral pillar of Royal Farms and her dedication and hard work have been an inspiration. We are thankful for her commitment and contributions; we salute her for her outstanding service of 65 years!” –CEO of Royal Farms (50 years of service).

Ms. Enos will be celebrating the remarkable achievement with a company party, multiple gifts, and monetary donations to two of her favorite organizations. Royal Farms is grateful to Ms. Enos for contributing to our success over the last 65 years. She is an inspiration to every employee at Royal Farms.

Royal Farms Tesla Super Charger Ribbon Cutting Event

BALTIMORE, May 03, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Baltimore-based Gas Station and Convenience Store Chain, Royal Farms, will be hosting a Tesla Super Charger ribbon cutting event in Gaithersburg, MD supported by the Maryland Tesla Owners Club on May 7th at 2 p.m.

Royal Farms’ relationship with Tesla began in 2017, and currently has 14 locations with Tesla EV chargers open to the public. As EV vehicle sales continue to grow, they look to bring EV charging to an additional 25 Royal Farms stores through this existing partnership. Currently, these chargers are only for Tesla vehicles.

Royal Farms has been adding EV chargers to select locations since 2015 to align with the company’s culture of sustainability and their mission to delight customers in a way that creates loyalty. In addition to the Tesla charging network, Royal Farms has also finalized agreements with two leading EV charging network providers to upgrade existing chargers at 22 non-Tesla locations in MD, DE, and PA. Through these partnerships Royal Farms will not only replace the existing chargers, but also expand charging capacity at many of these locations. The existing charging network has an average of 20-25 minutes for an 80% charge. Royal Farms offers safe, well-lit locations that are conveniently located near major highways, with clean bathrooms, and World-Famous food service offerings that EV charging customers can take advantage of while they charge up.

“Tesla Owners Club of Maryland is happy that Royal Farms is embracing the ‘fuel’ of the future to help us transition to sustainable transportation! Your freshly prepared foods and excellent facilities welcome our drivers whether they’re on a long road trip or just putting on a little more range to get them back home. Thanks for being part of the journey,” said TOC-MD President, JD Taylor.

“We are excited to continue to grow our partnership with Tesla and play an integral role in building a nationwide EV network to allow for the growth of zero emission vehicles. We see EV charging as a fantastic complimentary use to our beverage and prepared food offerings,” said Tom Ruszin, Fuel and Environment Leader for Royal Farms.

As the Royal Farms footprint continues to grow, they are constantly assessing opportunities to include EV charging as part of their new store development.

Royal Farms Celebrates Raising over $3M for Johns Hopkins Children’s Center

BALTIMORE, Feb. 23, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Baltimore-based Convenience Store Chain Royal Farms, known for its “World-Famous Chicken,” has been donating to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center since 1994. Since then, Royal Farms has raised over $3 million dollars through their Coin Cannister initiative.

Royal Farms plans to continue their dedicated efforts in supporting the Johns Hopkins community. Royal Farms’ funds have helped support families with financial need by providing funds, alleviating stressful ancillary costs and financial burden, an absolute lifesaver for parents with children in the hospital. Additionally, unrestricted funds support the Child Life and Social Work programs, making the hospital a little less scary for Hopkins’ most vulnerable patients.

“We are so grateful for the extraordinary partnership of Royal Farms over the past three decades. Royal Farms’ support of Johns Hopkins Children’s Center has allowed us to provide our children and families with comfort care programs and items not covered by insurance, as well as our faculty and staff with invaluable funds to further their research so that we can help even more families,” said Johns Hopkins Spokesperson, Cynthia Palacz.

Without unrestricted funds, the Children’s Center would not be able to support faculty with grants to advance research, education, and clinical care, further strengthening our ability to care for and treat patients at the Children’s Center and beyond. Royal Farms’ support of family meals and special events allow hospitalized children and their families to have fun and feel a sense of normalcy during an incredibly challenging time.

Johns Hopkins Children’s Center continues to be the top pediatric hospital in Maryland and the only Level 1 trauma center for pediatric patients in the region. The 209-bed pediatric facility and exclusively private-room neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) allow Johns Hopkins to treat the children in the community as well as the sickest children from across the country and world.
