Our communities need us more than ever right now. Along with focusing on sanitation at our stores and the health and wellness of our customers and employees, we wanted to share some of the things we have been doing to contribute to our surrounding communities.
Food Bank Donations
Food is an important basic need that everyone should have access too. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we pledged to make a donation to a Food Bank within every state that we operate, which includes Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Virginia. Each donation included approximately 10 tons of food (Bread, milk, orange juice, ham, turkey, cheese, yogurt, bananas, and granola bars)
To celebrate National Nurses week in May, Nurses were invited to redeem a free chicken sandwich to pickup at any of our locations. We have also donated coffee and coffee tumblers to some hospitals in the areas that we operate! As part of our annual ChickenPalooza event, we are also donating 10 cents of every $5 chicken box sold to Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.
We wanted to share with you what we are doing to give back to our community. Over the next few weeks, we will be making food donations to a Food Bank within every state that we serve, including Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, New Jersey, and Maryland. On April 30th, we are proud to have completed our first donation to the Maryland Food Bank. The donation weighed 10 tons and included items like bread, milk, orange juice, granola bars, yogurt, and sandwich meats and cheeses. For those of you that don’t know, Food Banks have seen a dramatic drop in the donations they regularly receive which can be directly attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of this donation is to help fight against the growing hunger our communities are facing.
We are so proud of our employees who are continuing to go in every day and do their part to provide essential services to those who need it most. Social distancing measures, heightened sanitizing and cleaning procedures, and proper protective equipment continue to be an extreme focus at all of our locations.
Thank you so much for your support as a Royal Farms customer. Your support helps us to continue to support our store associates and our communities. If we all do our part, we will get through this together.

We hope you all
are doing well and staying safe. We wanted to update you on our latest efforts
to enhance safety precautions as we stay open as an essential provider. No more
than 10 people are allowed in a store at once and customers and associates are
required to maintain a distance of 6 feet apart. To help with distancing at the
register, we have implemented clear plexi-glass shields that serve as a
distancing and protection aid. Following the recent recommendation from the
CDC, employees are encouraged to wear masks. In certain states we are also
requiring customers to wear masks which is a condition enforced by local
officials.
These new safety
measures we have taken are in addition to the enhanced cleaning and sanitation
protocols with special focus on high touch surfaces inside and outside the
store we are practicing consistently. We are continually monitoring the
guidance of the CDC, FDA, and local officials to ensure we are making the best decisions to keep you and our associates safe. We will get through this together.

Our highest priority is the health and security of everyone who visits our stores. We wanted to update you with some additional safety precautions we have taken to protect you, your families, and our employees.
In order to safely remain open for our customers, on Monday we temporarily closed all the seating areas in order to limit person to person contact.
We are also not accepting the reuse of personal travel mugs or cups for coffee, tea, or fountain refills. We appreciate you understanding our decision and recognizing that it is in the best interest for everyone during this challenging time.
All of our locations as of March 20th, 2020 except for Cross Street Market remain open. You can stay updated with our hours of Operation by visiting https://www.royalfarms.com/locations.
We will continue to thoroughly monitor and comply with all state and local guidelines and orders regarding our store operations. Thank you for your patience while we continue to do our best to serve you.

Our team at Royal Farms would like to assure you, our valued customers, that
we are taking all steps necessary to heighten our cleaning and disinfecting
procedures so you can enjoy a safe and healthy shopping experience at
every Royal Farms location.
Proactive steps are in place at
all Royal Farms to
ensure the safety of all customers both at our fueling stations and inside our
stores and we are closely monitoring the ever-changing situation regarding
coronavirus (COVID 19).
At every Royal Farms, we are following all cleaning procedures recommended by
the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention. We are giving extra attention to all areas both inside
and outside our stores that are high-touch areas, including our fuel
dispensers, door handles, windshield washer squeegees, and touchscreen at our
deli ordering kiosks. These areas are being cleaned frequently and with detail.
In addition, all restrooms will
undergo additional cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
Of course, our employees’ health
and safety are also extremely important to us. Employees are required to stay
home when sick and we are requiring them to take additional training on basic
hygiene information based off the guidelines provided by the CDC. We have kept
them informed with the latest information and will continue to do so throughout
this difficult time.
We will continue working hard to
keep our stores open so we can be there for you and your families. We
appreciate your patronage and thank you for being a loyal Royal Farms customer.
